Genie EXP does the same thing.  You specify the original and the file to be compared, and Poof! Genie EXP will do the rest.

Because no two people have the same needs, Poof! Genie EXP has numerous preferences for you to select.  Do you need to check the values of the cells, the formulas contained within, or both?  Do you need to check font formats?  If you are a teacher, for some activities, checking font formats is exactly what is needed.  If you don’t care what font was used, leaving that option unchecked speeds up the process.  You choose what you need because that is what makes a tool truly useful.

So now you have a couple of thoughts running through your mind.  How do I get started?  What versions of Excel does it work with?  Can I get a Poof! Genie for Microsoft® Word documents?  The answers are download and install the application, and then see the "How to Poof!" tutorial in the Help file, Excel XP and 2003, and yes - there is a version for Microsoft Word documents.  Poof! Genie for Microsoft Excel which works with Excel versions 2007, 2003, and XP is available. For Word 2007, the same functionality is available in the Compare feature under the Review tab within Microsoft Office Word 2007.
